Baked Apple Crumble

A delightful dessert featuring tender apples topped with a buttery, crumbly mixture, creating a comforting and delicious treat.

  • 6 medium apples (mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel, core, and slice the apples into thin wedges. Toss with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and softened butter until crumbly.
  4. Spread the apple mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and sprinkle the crumble topping over the apples.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until bubbling and golden brown.
  6. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For an extra crunch, add chopped nuts to the topping. Great served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
