Chewy Christmas Cranberry Orange Cookies

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 cup dried cranberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, blending until smooth.
  5. Gradually fold in the orange zest and dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Stir in the dried cranberries until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

Notes
