Delightful Cinnamon Roll Cake

A comforting combination of cinnamon, sugar, and buttery cake topped with a creamy vanilla glaze.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and 1 tsp of cinnamon.
  4. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and remaining cinnamon.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the baking dish, sprinkle half of the cinnamon filling, pour the remaining batter, and swirl the remaining filling on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Whisk together powdered sugar and enough milk for a drizzle consistency and drizzle over the cake once cooled.

Notes

For best results, avoid overmixing the batter. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
