Cinnamon Tea for Diabetes & Weight Loss

Cup of cinnamon tea, a healthy recipe for diabetes management and weight loss

A soothing herbal infusion of cinnamon and water, known to assist with weight loss and diabetes management.

Ingredients

  • 12 cinnamon sticks or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups water
  • Honey (optional)
  • Lemon (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium heat.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add the cinnamon sticks or ground cinnamon.
  3. Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. If using sticks, strain the tea into a mug.
  5. If desired, stir in honey or a squeeze of fresh lemon for added flavor.
  6. Enjoy the tea warm.
  7. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days, reheating before drinking.

Notes

For better weight loss results, consume 1-2 cups a day, preferably before meals.
