  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 fat content)
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices cheese (American, cheddar, or your choice)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard

Instructions

  1. Form the patties: In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently, then form into 4 equal patties with a slight indent in the center.
  2. Preheat the grill or frying pan to medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip.
  4. Add cheese on each patty after flipping. Cover to help the cheese melt, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  5. Toast the buns for 1 minute until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers with bottom bun, patty, toppings, and sauces.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
