Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin powder
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup additional cold water
  • Sweetener (optional: stevia or honey)
  • Flavorings (extracts or fruit juices)

Instructions

  1. Gather ingredients: gelatin powder, cold water, sweetener, and flavoring or fruit juice.
  2. Bloom the gelatin: sprinkle 1 tablespoon of gelatin powder over 1/4 cup of cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat the mixture: heat 1/2 cup of additional water just below boiling, then remove from heat.
  4. Combine mixtures: add bloomed gelatin to the hot water and stir until dissolved. Mix in sweetener or flavoring if desired.
  5. Cool and pour: cool the mixture slightly before pouring into molds, then refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  6. Set: once firm, remove from molds and enjoy!
  7. Store: keep any extras in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes

Avoid hot water and overmixing to ensure the perfect texture. Skipping the blooming step can lead to failure in setting.
