Homemade Churro Bites with Nutella

Delightful homemade churro bites filled with a warm, fluffy center and paired with Nutella for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nutella for dipping

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and sugar over medium heat. Stir until melted and bring to a gentle boil. Remove from heat.
  2. Add the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon to the mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Allow the dough to cool slightly, for about 5 minutes.
  4. Shape the dough into small bite-sized pieces, about 1-2 inches long.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the churro bites for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Roll the cooked churro bites in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon before serving warm with Nutella.

Notes

For an air-fried version, spray the basket with cooking spray and follow similar frying times.
