Japanese Ginger Trick Drink

A refreshing herbal drink combining fresh ginger, lemon, and honey that aids in weight loss and boosts metabolism.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 12 inches fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 12 teaspoons honey (or agave/stevia for a lower-calorie version)

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice fresh ginger thinly.
  2. Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan.
  3. Once boiling, add the sliced ginger and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve into a cup.
  5. Add the juice of half a lemon and stir in honey until dissolved.
  6. Serve hot or cool to room temperature and chill if preferred.
  7. Optional: Garnish with a slice of lemon or a sprig of mint.

Notes

Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Drink warm for digestion benefits or chilled for a refreshing treat.
