Jello Poke Cake

A fun and flavorful dessert that combines moist cake soaked in flavored gelatin, creating a unique and colorful treat perfect for parties and gatherings.

  • 1 box cake mix (low-calorie option can be used)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 box Jello (Flavored Gelatin, sugar-free or regular)
  • 1 cup whipped topping (low-fat or sugar-free)
  • Fruits (optional, fresh or canned)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix with water according to the package instructions. Stir until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Once baked, let the cake cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  5. Using a fork, poke holes in the top of the cooled cake, ensuring to get deep but not all the way through.
  6. In a bowl, combine the Jello mix with boiling water (following package directions) and stir until dissolved. Add cold water as instructed.
  7. Slowly pour the Jello mixture over the poked cake. Cover the cake and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to let it set.

Notes

For a healthier option, use sugar-free ingredients and incorporate fruits into the Jello mixture.
