A refreshing gelatin-based dessert that serves as a low-calorie snack or appetite-managing treat, customizable with various flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon gelatin powder (or sheets)
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 12 tablespoons low-calorie sweetener or sugar
  • 1 cup fruit juice or brewed herbal tea
  • Optional: fresh berries, citrus zest, or vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Measure and bloom the gelatin: sprinkle gelatin over 1/4 cup of cold water per tablespoon of powder and let sit for 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Heat the flavored liquid: warm 1 cup of juice or tea until steaming, then pour over bloomed gelatin.
  3. Sweeten and flavor: add sweetener and any additional extracts, stirring until combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into molds or cups, filling just below the rim.
  5. Chill to set: refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour, cover, and chill for an additional 1.5 to 3 hours until firm.
  6. Optional garnish before serving: add berries or citrus zest for aroma.

Notes

Store in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Can be prepared in advance for weekly snacks.
