Turmeric Tea

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger (or ginger powder)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (fresh preferred)
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients: turmeric powder, fresh ginger, cinnamon, honey (or maple syrup), lemon juice, and water.
  2. Boil the water: Start by boiling 2 cups of water in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Add turmeric and ginger: Once the water reaches a boil, stir in turmeric and grated ginger.
  4. Simmer the mixture: Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Strain the tea: After simmering, strain the tea into a mug using a fine mesh strainer.
  6. Add cinnamon: Stir in cinnamon for added flavor.
  7. Sweeten and finish: Add honey/maple syrup and a squeeze of lemon juice before enjoying.

Notes

Optional: Add a pinch of black pepper to enhance absorption of curcumin.
