Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream butter and sugars together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add vanilla extract and mix until well incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  6. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
