Bariatric Gelatin Jello

A simple, low-calorie gelatin-based snack ideal for managing appetite after weight loss surgery.

Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup low-calorie flavored liquid or a teaspoon of extract
  • 1 scoop optional unflavored collagen or protein powder
  • Optional stevia or another low-calorie sweetener

Instructions

  1. Measure and bloom the gelatin by sprinkling it over cold water and letting it sit for 2 to 5 minutes.
  2. Dissolve the gelatin in hot water and stir until fully dissolved.
  3. Add flavoring and optional protein and mix until uniform.
  4. Cool the mixture for 5 to 10 minutes before pouring into molds.
  5. Chill until set for 30 to 60 minutes.
  6. Serve in small portions and store leftovers in an airtight container.

Notes

Experiment with flavors and add-ins like fruit or yogurt for more variety.
