Christmas Crack Cookies

Delightful holiday cookies blending rich chocolate with a crunchy toffee-like texture atop a buttery base.

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels or toffee bits
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Add flour and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.
  4. Scoop dough into balls and place on a lined baking sheet, about two inches apart.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
  6. While baking, melt chocolate chips until smooth.
  7. Drizzle melted chocolate over cookies and top with crushed pretzels or toffee bits while warm.

Notes

Allow cookies to cool slightly before adding chocolate. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
