Easiest Vanilla French Beignets

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the eggs, milk, and melted butter until light and creamy.
  3. Gradually fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  4. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about ½ inch thick and cut into squares.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan or air fryer to about 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the dough squares for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Drain on paper towels and dust warm beignets with powdered sugar before serving.
