Healthy Air Fryer Churro Bites

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix melted coconut oil and honey (or maple syrup) until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until it forms a smooth dough.
  5. Scoop out tablespoon-sized amounts of dough and roll into small balls.
  6. Spray or brush air fryer basket with coconut oil, place churro bites in a single layer, and cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. While warm, toss churro bites in a mixture of cinnamon and coconut sugar.

Notes
